October 18th, 2023– U.S. Secretary of Labor Martin J. Walsh recognized Akron Energy Systems as one of the 835 recipients of the 2023 HIRE Vets Medallion Award presented by the U.S. Department of Labor.

After applying earlier this year, Akron Energy Systems earned the gold award. The - Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act (HIRE Vets Act) Medallion Program is the only federal award program recognizing employers who successfully recruit, hire, and retain veterans.

“Veterans bring a wealth of skills and experience to the workforce, and they are often highly motivated and loyal employees,” said Marc Divis, CEO of Akron Energy Systems. “We hope this will encourage other employers to hire veterans and create workplaces that support their veteran employees.”
