On August 20 the community came together for Zion Temple Baptist Church's YOU MATTER BLOCK PARTY. It was a fun day to celebrate kids. More than 800 people attended.

More than 300 backpacks filled with school supplies for elementary and high school students were distributed and free food, including hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, ice cream bars, and popcorn was served. A blow-up obstacle course was one of the activities and back-to-school haircuts for the boys and painted nails for the girls were offered. It was a great day for the kids of the community. By our count, there were over 3,000 smiles!
